Cloud Catalog #110.

Dear porn, stop ruining my life. I gotta quit you, so I can focus on something more important, OK? This blog entry will serve as proof that I'll do my rigorously best to observe it. Stay away from me, porn, please. Or better yet, stop being so convenient and accessible. Love, gay hypocrite trying his best to abstain

Cloud Catalog #109.

I guess those nights when the terrible feeling got worse and worse peaked today, this morning specifically. I've always thought things would go back to what it was and I'd feel better, but those hope bubbles were no longer flying. I'm doing my best, for christ's sake. I'm turning crazy and I could probably swallow a knife.

Cloud Catalog #108.

OMG OMG FOREVER LOVE OF MY LIFE OMG OMG

Cloud Catalog #107.

New music CDs always make me happy, so if you want to make me happy (hihi) please give me CDs!

Anyway, some purchases in the past month:

Us -2 Evil - 0 - Dirty Debutantes (not good at all)

Dong Abay - Flipino (pretty good; also, bizarre artwork by Romeo Lee inside)

Encounters With A Yeti - Pilot (to be honest, the first few listens have been underwhelming; though by now it starts to grow on me; THEY'RE A MILLION TIMES BETTER LIVE!!)

Radiohead - In Rainbows (!!!!!!) (Broke for the rest of the week!!)

Blur - Leisure (!!!!) (A gift from Ali; it's pre-owned, but it still costs a lot; race-related comment: THERE'S A TYPO ERROR IN THE JAPANESE EDITION, K)

Cloud Catalog #104.

So proud of my Bratty for finally completing the Radiohead discography (three of which I bought for her personally) and the last one (In Rainbows) we actually purchased together! Friends for ever!

Cloud Catalog #103.

I received some keepsakes from two special friends, both of whom traveled outside the country last month. It took me a while to upload this. Too many stuff on the phone..

Jewel got me this--uhm, I don't know what to call it--PJ Harvey artwork, an image of hers printed on a stone, the back of which sort of resembles a corkboard. Anyway, napasigaw ako nung inabot 'to ni Jewel.

I love receiving postcards.

Cloud Catalog #102.

I've been a Phillips Phillips fan since the auditions and up to now I'm still rooting for him. Can he just win this whole thing, all right? This year's season is way, way much better than the previous. Last time I felt this way was during the Battle of the Davids.

Cloud Catalog #101.

Madman Thom is the best gif-bomber. And I love you Colin for having no reaction at all.

Cloud Catalog #100.

Let's celebrate the 100th cloud in my catalog by playing Boxer, the first National album I totally fell in love with. I bought this copy from Fullybooked High Street, which I found after an excruciating day of work. Another uninnocent elegant fall into the unmagnificent lives of adults?

Cloud Catalog #99.

Cloud Catalog #98.

Sad news: Books for Less Valero closed down several weeks ago. I usually dropped by there when office work got too stressful and it comforted me in such a way that only a nerd in love with the smell of musty books could understand. I wouldn't brag that I bought many books there 'cause I didn't, perhaps I only purchased not more than five, but the place had been a staple of my everyday walks during break time. I remember, on my first day at work I went there at lunchtime, not knowing that the boss bought pizza for the new employees. So all the time I was there, browsing through books and unaware that my colleagues were wondering where I was. I wouldn't trade that memory for anything. Anyway, any bookstore that shuts down is a reason to be sad. Thanks for the memories, friendly neighbor.

Cloud Catalog #97.

Am I making myself clear? Am I trying to send a message across? Are you drugs? Charot.

Cloud Catalog #96.

One busy afternoon, while I was thinking of dropping dead on the floor by poisoning myself because of work-related stress, Bratty came up to me and gave me this. She's the sweetest thing ever. May Taylor Swift bless her!

We're dropping by High Street tomorrow to complete her Radiohead discography. Woohoo. Milestone, I tell you, milestone.

Cloud Catalog #95.

GPOOOOY. What I usually do when no one is looking. P.S. I love you, Aaron!

He's not drunk.

"I loved the names like, “The The” and “The Smiths and “The Clean”—those were the kind of names that were just so boring they were great. And that was what was amazing about them. I didn’t want a name like “The Arctic Monkeys” or something clever, you know? So, “The National” seemed as boring as I could come up with. Turned out to be a problem because it’s really hard to Google…" - Matt Berninger

Cloud Catalog #92.

I have to admit: this is the best bit from this year's Coachella. Brilliant, hair-rising, spectacular, but it's also kinda scary, ain't it? Next thing we know Joe Strummer or John Lennon is performing somewhere in Glasto.

Cloud Catalog #91.

One of my favorite hobbies is looking through pictures of The National on Tumblr and guessing who is Aaron and who is Bryce.

So tell me: is it Aaron looking at Bryce or is it Bryce looking at Aaron?

Anong ginagawa mo ngayon? Eto:

OHWEANONGAYOOOON? Ha ha. Okay, gamit na gamit na.

Cloud Catalog #89.

O ayan.

In no proper order syempre. Anyway, brangpagod.

Brang-ewan. Lahat na laaaaang. Imbiyerna. Sarap busalan. Manahimik na lang, please.

PS. After 30 minutes -- ayan tahimik na. Medyo. Pero nagdadabog pa rin. Hanuba ma'am. Pahinga na lang, K? Ala-una na ng madaling araw e.

Cloud Catalog #86.

A rather tiring day at my desk, where my dandruff falls into the little corners of my keyboard, with the five people I love. Look at how their faces glow. That's how they do in my heart.

Cloud Catalog #85.

(Click to embiggen)

It was probably the day after we arrived. We started walking around and finding the bargain bookstore I went there for. And no, I didn't see the store from this view, but something better: that street sign. Up there. See? So I began to sing.

"Raise your heavenly glasses to the heavens! Swallow Victoria! Swallow Victoria!"

Yep, I said swallow.

Cloud Catalog #84.

Cloud Catalog #83.

Oh, look at darling Matt showing off one of his many talents, and Aaron caring a bit, and Bryce being totally bored.

Cloud Catalog #81.

"Hi, I’m Aaron and this is Matt from The National."

Fricking adorable both.

Cloud Catalog #80.

Whenever I'm on my way to the office, I always feel that I should be going back home instead, in the comfort of my bed and blanket, doing nothing but listening to music and thinking of old memories and new ones.

Cloud Catalog #79.

Posting it here so I'd remember what to do next time. Make Matt or Aaron or Bryce a postcard! And request "Baby We'll Be Fine." Hay, so much for dreaming.

*

"When The National came to Tucson last year, I wanted nothing more than to hear Slipping Husband. I made a little postcard with the lyrics (see below). During a quiet moment, I shouted, “Matt, I got you a postcard!” He came to the edge of the stage and took it from my hand. He jokingly collapsed and said “Oh my God, there’s anthrax on it!” But he set it down, and said he would read it later. Realizing that would defy its purpose, I blurted out, “Can you play Slipping Husband please?” Matt laughed, and said a terse, “no.” Aaron explained, “We don’t play songs that are that angry anymore.” Bryce offered to play the first two bars. He did so, and I was overjoyed. Good enough for me. It was so cool to have such a personal interaction with one of my favorite bands DURING their show. It was definitely a moment I’ll never forget. On my way back to my car, I saw Bryce at the stage door, and got him to sign my copy of the Conversation 16 lyrics that the tech gave me after the show. He gave me a message which gives me a bit of hope, promising to play Slipping Husband next time. Now I just have to figure out how to remind them…"

Young Matt, I love you for ever and ever and ever and ever

I apologize to my few readers! This is becoming a FuckYeahTheNational Tumblr blog. Lol.
